When will tennis fans see Rafael Nadal back on the court?

The tennis world will look spellbound to Manacor tomorrow. According to the PR team for the 22-time Grand Slam champion, the 36-year-old will speak tomorrow at a press conference in his academy in Mallorca at 4 p.m. local time about a possible start at the tournament in Roland Garros.

Last mystery about physical condition

Most recently, Nadal competed at the Australian Open in January, where he was visibly handicapped and lost in three sets to the American Mackenzie McDonald. After the tournament, the left-hander announced a longer tournament break due to a hip flexor injury. In addition, the video of a visibly battered Nadal during training worried tennis fans all over the world on social media.

Does Thiem benefit?

The longtime world No. 1's bad luck could also be luck for another Grand Slam champion. If Nadal were to cancel, Austrian Dominic Thiem would move directly into the main draw in Paris and would not have to go through qualification.
