Immediately before the official start of ticket sales on December 1, the organizers of the ATP 250 tournament in Mallorca announced Nick Kyrgios ' participation. The Australian, who reached the final at Wimbledon last season, will get in shape again in 2023 on the Balearic Islands for the grass classic in south-west London.

In 2022, Kyrgios on Mallorca was unable to compete against Roberto Bautista Agut in the round of 16 after his opening win over Laslo Djere. Tournament director Toni Nadal is all the more happy to welcome the 27-year-old again next year: "The best players in the world are playing here and Nick Kyrgios' early commitment is a sign of the great work being done here ."

In 2023, the ATP 250 event will take place in front of more fans than in the past. "Due to the success of the past two years and the large number of spectators, we have decided to increase the capacity of the Center Court by 25 percent," explained organizer Edwin Weindorfer.

It is not yet clear whether defending champion Stefanos Tsitsipas will return to Mallorca next year. The lawn tournament will take place from June 24th to July 1st and thus again immediately before the event in Wimbledon.
