The Czech won the final against Anett Kontaveit 6:2, 6:3 and thus clinched her fourth individual victory at tour level.

Local hero Kontaveit started the race as a favorite, especially since she had a terrific winning streak at indoor tournaments in autumn 2021 and winter 2022. This time, however, she had no chance.

In addition to top-seeded Kontaveit, Krajcikova also knocked out second-seeded Belinda Bencic and third-seeded Beatriz Haddad Maia over the course of the week.

For Krejcikova, winning the tournament is a great success after a mixed few months. The 26-year-old had won the French Open last year and reached second place in the WTA ranking, but in the spring she suffered from health problems and was out for a long time. Since then, it has been mixed in singles (in doubles, however, she won the Australian Open, Wimbledon and the US Open).

Krajcikova, currently only in 27th place in the ranking, will also make up a few places in the world rankings.
