The holidays were short for the top stars of the women's tour, now it's back to work. From December 29th, the United Cup in Perth, Sydney and Brisbane will be about WTA points for the first time, with the start of the calendar year there will also be other opportunities to earn your own income and place in the world rankings. So it's no wonder that the tennis elite is getting ready for the next long season.

Above all Iga Swiatek. The Pole dominated the 2022 tennis year, winning her second and third major titles in Roland Garros and at the US Open. The last match of the year was lost in the semifinals of the WTA Finals in Fort Worth against Aryna Sabalenka, now Swiatek wants to attack again.

Cori Gauff did not win a singles title in 2022, but was among the top ten players in the world.

Petra Kivtova, two-time Wimbledon champion, is preparing for the tennis year 2023 in Monte Carlo.

Meanwhile, Liudmila Samsonova, one of the surprises of the 2022 season, has discovered nature for herself.

And then there is also an interesting training community of two women who have been enriching the WTA Tour for many years: Alizé Cornet and Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova.
