WTA: Tournament victory - Ashleigh Barty also convinces on the golf course
Ashleigh Barty has expanded her extensive trophy collection - albeit in golf. The number one in the world rankings won the championship of the Brookwater Golf Club near Brisbane in their native Australia.

Barty thus underpinned her reputation as an all-rounder, and the 24-year-old has also proven her talent in cricket during a professional season at Brisbane Heat.
Barty, who will not appear to defend his title at the French Open at the end of the month due to the corona pandemic, has numerous connections to golf. Her father once played as an amateur for Australia, and she met her friend Garry Kissick while playing golf. Barty's handicap is now 3.9, and before the Presidents Cup 2020 in Melbourne even superstar Tiger Woods had praised her "good shot".
It is not yet clear when the industry leader will return to the tennis circuit. Barty canceled the trip to the USA early on, the next possibility may not arise until the beginning of 2021 in her Australian homeland. So the corona numbers allow.
