After the victory against Brazil: DTB women are allowed to dream again
The German tennis players have qualified for the final tournament of the Billie Jean King Cup. The 3-1 win against Brazil in Stuttgart gives hope for the near future.

Team manager Rainer Schüttler was just about to start praising his team when they cut him off. The convincing 3-1 victory over Brazil, which Niemeier and Friedsam completed with their successes on Saturday, was a much-awaited step in the right direction. Because recently, German women's tennis had lost some of its radiance.
"We don't need to hide from anyone"

Niemeier felt the pressure

Niemeier's goal, and that of her teammates, is clear: Take the tailwind with you for the upcoming tasks on the tour. "If I play like this, then it can continue to be so successful in the next matches," said the Dortmund player. How sustainable Stuttgart's upswing really is will soon become apparent. At the beginning of the week she, like Maria, will start at the same place at the WTA tournament.
