It is not wrong to assume that Dirk Nowitzki, the best and most successful basketball player in Germany of all time, would also have been a very good tennis player. Born in Würzburg, he had considerable success throughout Bavaria in his youth, thanks to the serve and his forehand. Nowitzki also describes his problem area in the documentary film "The perfect litter": the backhand. This, in turn, is excellent at Alexander Zverev, but he has to earn his living on the tennis court. And not with three-point throws.

But basketball is no stranger to Germany's number one, as he also confirmed to tennisnet a few years ago. To what extent this is reflected in the practical exercise is open (Nowitzki, on the other hand, organizes a charity tennis tournament in Dallas every year). In theory, however, Zverev is fully on the subject, as he impressively demonstrated in a quiz for the ATP - in detail in English, in the shorter version in German. The native of Hamburg failed on just one question: For which club did Dirk Nowitzki play Bundesliga basketball for a season in Germany?

But neither did the two Germans hold back in the "Ask me anything" section. So told Zverev about his super fan, who was a loyal companion in the hotel in Melbourne. Nowitzki, in turn, revealed the most embarrassing moment in his career.
