After his quarter-final against Novak Djokovic at the Australian Open, Alexander Zverev apparently wants to take the momentum from the good performances in Melbourne with him for the next tournaments. Originally, the 23-year-old should have made his next appearance at the event in Acapulco, but thanks to a wildcard from the organizers of the ATP 500 tournament in Rotterdam, the German will return to the tour in the Netherlands.
In addition to Zverev, Andy Murray, Jannik Sinner and Kei Nishikori also received a free ticket for the main field. The four wildcard holders thus complement an already extremely strong field of participants, which is currently led by Rafael Nadal and Daniil Medvedev.
