ATP Auckland: Erler/Miedler defeat Bolelli/Fognini at the start
At the ATP World Tour 250 tournament in Auckland, Alexander Erler and Lucas Miedler are standing after a strong win against the Italians Simone Bolelliand Fabio Fognini in the quarterfinals.

After Alexander Erler and Lucas Miedler had finished in the round of 16 against Glasspool/Heliovaara in Adelaide last week, the two Austrians are already in the quarterfinals this week at the ATP World Tour 250 event in Auckland. The red-white-red double team made it into the round of the last eight teams with a great 6:4, 6:3 win over the Italian pairing Simone Bolelli and Fabio Fognini, who were seeded on three.
Now it's up to the Tyrolean and the Lower Austrian against Sebastian Baez (Argentina) and Luis David Martinez (Colombia). A duel against the top seeded Croatian duo Nikola Mektic and Mate Pavic could follow in the semester final.
