ATP Barcelona: Sinner, Bautista Agut, Shapovalov and Goffin win
At the ATP 500 tournament in Barcelona on Tuesday there were mostly favorites wins.Jannik Sinner , Roberto Bautista Agut , Denis Shapovalov and David Goffin all easily qualified for the round of 16.

In Monte Carlo, Jannik Sinner met world number one Novak Djokovic in round two, at the ATP 500 tournament in Barcelona the seeded South Tyrolean naturally got a better draw. After a bye at the beginning, the 19-year-old had to deal with Egor Gerasimov - and Sinner had hardly any problems against the number 77 in the world. Thanks to a strong performance, the Italian won confidently 6: 3 and 6: 2.
In the round of 16, the youngster with Roberto Bautista Agut now faces a much bigger hurdle: The Spaniard, who was fifth, beat his compatriot Pablo Andujar 6: 4 and 6: 0. Also in the round of the last 16 are Denis Shapovalov and David Goffin. The Canadian beat Jeremy Chardy 6: 3 and 7: 5, the Belgian number one won against Pierre-Hugues Herbert 6: 2 and 6: 4.

Otherwise, the few viewers in the Catalan capital got to see mainly first round games on Tuesday: While Alexander Bublik (vs. Alejandro Davidovich Fokina) and Jordan Thompson (vs. Richard Gasquet) prevailed in three sets, the only 17-year-old Spaniard Carlos had to win Alcaraz suffered a 4-6 and 6-7 (2) defeat against Frances Tiafoe. Lorenzo Musetti, who was two years older than him, fared much better .
On Wednesday, the top favorites will intervene for the first time in Barcelona: Rafael Nadal, Stefanos Tsitsipas and Andrey Rublev, among others, will do the honors.
