The draw wasn't particularly good for Jurij Rodionov, who had to play fifth-placed Brazilian Thiago Monteiro right at the start of the ATP Challenger tournament in Salzburg. Rodionov started well but after losing the first set, Monteiro took over and won 3-6, 6-3 and 6-2.
From an Austrian point of view, there are good things to report from the qualification. With Lukas Miedler, Maximilian Neuchrist and Filip Misolic, three other local players made it into the main draw. Misolic has a special task: He will play against Dominic Thiem on Tuesday (in our live ticker).
