Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, Dominic Thiem, Daniil Medvedev, Alexander Zverev and Stefanos Tsitsipas . All of these players - like the other players - made their first match at the ATP Cup. For the latter three, the second match is already on January 5, for Zverev and Tsitsipas it is even about the first victory in the new team competition after defeats against Alex de Minaur and Denis Shapovalov.
One of the two will also succeed, that much is certain before the start of the third day. Because Zverev and Tsitsipas will play against each other in the international match between Germany and Greece ( from 8:30 a.m., live in the match tracker and in the ServusTV stream ) and thus ensure the big highlight on day three. Before that, Jan-Lennard Struff had to deal with Mikhail Pervolarakis, and the duel ended with a double. For Germany Kevin Krawietz and Andreas Mies will be on the court.
Brisbane with a great program
The fans in Brisbane will already enjoy the home team beforehand. From 1:00 a.m.CET host Australia will meet Canada. The program could hardly be more spectacular: Felix Auger-Aliassime opens against Nick Kyrgios, then Denis Shapovalov and Alex de Minaur face off. The match is decided - like every duel in the ATP Cup - by a double. Auger-Aliassime and Shapovalov will also be on the square here.
The game plan in Perth looks a little less appealing. In the day session, Norway challenges the Italians led by Fabio Fognini, in the evening there is a clash between Russia (with Karen Khachanov and Daniil Medvedev) and the USA.
The surprise team from Bulgaria opens with top player Grigor Dimitrov against Moldova in Sydney. In the night session, Great Britain will then try to inflict Belgium's first loss at the ATP Cup.
