Like Novak Djokovic and Dominic Thiem, Nadal had gone into quarantine in Adelaide and won an exhibition match against Thiem there on Friday. The decision not to start against Australia diminishes the chances of the Spanish team a little, but with Roberto Bautista Agut and Pablo Carreno Busta, last year's finalists are well positioned. For Thursday's match against Greece, Nadal did not want to give a forecast.
On Tuesday (live on Sky) Carreno Busta will play against John Millman and Bautista Agut against Alex de Minaur.
