Novak Djokovic will remain undefeated in 2020 in singles

Defeating Novak Djokovic in 2020 is (almost) an impossible thing. Especially in singles: Six wins in the ATP Cup, seven more in the Australian Open, now two more in the ATP Tour 500 tournament in Dubai - Philipp Kohlschreiber was also unable to stop the Serbian industry leader. Djokovic won 6: 3 and 6: 1 and will play against Karen Khachanov in the quarter-finals on Thursday, who defeated Dennis Novak in two sets.

In the 14th duel with Kohlschreiber, Djokovic achieved the twelfth victory. The German veteran had surprisingly won against Djokovic in Indian Wells last year, but lost the following three duels in Monte Carlo, Rome and Wimbledon. Just like the first meeting in 2020, in which Kohlschreiber gave up his serve twice after losing the first set and congratulated his opponent after a playing time of 59 minutes.

Jan-Lennard Struff was also in a hurry on Wednesday: The German Davis Cup player only let Nikoloz Basilashvili win the game. And had made it to the quarter-finals in an incredible 39 minutes. There Struff meets Stefanos Tsitsipas. The Greek finalist of the previous year had earlier won in the afternoon against Alexander Bublik with 7: 6 (1) and 6: 4.
