John Isner said goodbye to fans at the US Open.

After the first part focused on Feliciano Lopez's farewell, today the focus is on one of the greatest players. And here we are really talking about real body size. Here is the second small collection of farewells of the year.

John Isner

Most aces on the tour and the longest match in history. John Isner has left his mark on the tour, and it's not just because of the exchange with Nicolas Mahut at Wimbledon 13 years ago. With 16 titles collected and eighth place as the best position in the world rankings, things were also very successful for the 2.08 meter tall Texan. And as befits a true Texan: the 38-year-old only felt comfortable at home, because Isner won 14 of his 16 titles in the USA. Including his greatest triumph at the masters tournament in Miami 2018. Now John Isner has finally swapped his travel bag for staying with the family.

Jack Socks

Every now and then doubles partner of John Isner and even managed to reach eighth place in the ATP rankings in singles. Jack Sock, who won four titles on the ATP Tour, knew how to delight fans with his lively tennis. In 2017, the last and greatest individual triumph came with the Masters title in Paris, whose successes were not repeated afterwards. But things went well in 2018 alongside Mike Bryan, among others. Six doubles titles, including Wimbledon and US Open, brought the 32-year-old American to second place in the doubles rankings. From now on, the money you earn can be spent without the stress of traveling.

Peter Gojowczyk

His big moment was in September 2017. The first and only ATP title of his career in the final in Metz against Benoit Paire lifted Peter Gojowczyk into the group of German ATP tour winners. Two more final appearances followed in 2018 and the best placement in the world rankings at number 38. In 2021, he made it to the round of 16 at the US Open, which meant a return to the top 100. Now there is no more drudgery on the tennis court and more time for the passionate amateur cook to bring new creations to the table.
