It's a dream year for Kevin Krawietz and Andreas Mies: At the Australian Open, they had to split up to come to the peloton, these worries are now long gone. The first tournament win at the New York Open in February followed a few months later the miracle in Paris, which resulted in the title and promoted #Kramies the well-known hashtag.
Since then Krawietz and Mies play exclusively together, although in the meantime, after Paris, followed by a negtiv run of ten games with only two wins. At the US Open, the reticent Franke Krawietz and the cheerful Cologne Mies found their way back into the semi-finals, two tiebreaks stood in the way for more. Recently, the semi-final at the Paris Masters was the limit, in London, the two can play quite freely on their first participation.

Especially since there is nothing to slander internally. Because since last week Andreas Mies has also reached the top ten of the double world, colleague Krawietz had already achieved this two weeks earlier because he had played more successfully in his bad partnership earlier this year.
Their first opponents are already old hands in doubles: The Frenchman Jean-Julien Rojer, 38, has been on the Tour since 2003, winning two Grand Slam titles (2015 at Wimbledon, 2017 at the US Open) and already placed the number 3 of the double world; Horia Tecau, 34, from Romania also started in the tennis business in 2003 and won the same major title with little surprise - after all, Rojer stood by his side. He was already second in the world rankings.
