In the final they meet Raven Klaasen and Michael Venus, who defeated the world's number one, Juan Cabal and Robert Farah in the afternoon.
Previously, Mahut / Herbert had already won all their three group matches. They did not make a single set against Rojer / Tecau, Krawietz / Mies and Cabal / Farah. At the beginning of the year they won the biggest title of the year at the Australian Open and completed their personal career Grand Slam in doubles.
