ATP Masters Indian Wells: Alexander Zverev after defeating Monfils in the quarterfinals
Alexander Zverev (ATP No. 4) has reached the round of the last eight in Indian Wells after a safe victory over Gael Monfils.

Zverev beat Monfils 6: 3, 6: 1 after only about an hour of play. He celebrated his first victory over the world number 18. in the fourth match of the two.
Zverev dominated the game from the start, took the lead with a double break without Monfils even getting a chance to win the game.
In the second round, the Frenchman had his only break ball of the game at 2: 2, but Zverev took the game and made the decisive break to 5: 3, after which he safely served.
Zverev now meets Taylor Fritz, who won 6: 4, 6: 3 against Jannik Sinner.
