Andrey Rublev is in the round of 16 in Paris-Bercy

Andrey Rublev is currently one of the strongest players on the ATP tour. The 23-year-old Russian was able to win three ATP 500 tournaments in a row and has only been defeated three times since the restart of the ATP tour. This is confirmed by the eighth place in the world rankings in his first appearance at the ATP Masters 1000 event in Paris Bercy, where he did not leave Radu Albot the slightest chance with 6: 1 and 6: 2 in the first round.

In the round of 16, the Russian now meets Stan Wawrinka, who won his round of 16 match against Tommy Paul in the third deciding set. The American won the opening round 6: 4 after three breaks, in the second set it got really crazy: There were a total of six breaks, three on both sides, before the Swiss could use his fourth set ball. In the third round, the Swiss was clearly the dominant player and finally made the 4: 6, 7: 6 (3) and 6: 2 victory perfect.

Alexander Zverev, Rafael Nadal and Daniil Medvedev are also in the round of 16. The German defeated Miomir Kecmanovic in the afternoon after an impressive performance, Nadal celebrated his 1000th career victory on the ATP tour after a hard fight and Daniil Medvedev benefited from a job by Kevin Anderson.
