When Novak Djokovic made his first appearance since the US Open final defeat, there was initially no sign of major problems getting back on track after a long break. The world number one grabbed the first break in the second round duel with the Hungarian Marton Fucsovics in the first service game, which the industry leader was able to easily transport to win the set after a little more than half an hour.
This key changed abruptly in the second round. Djokovic now had problems, conceded an early break, which a now extraordinarily good serving Marton Fucsovics was able to transport to win the set. And also at the start of the third round, the Hungarian had the upper hand, but with the score of 1: 1 and 0:30 when Djokovic served, a break.

From now on it was the first in the world who was able to succeed in the double competition of the ATP Masters 1000 event on Monday, who suddenly controlled what was happening on the Center Court at will. The Serb now pushed himself a lot louder, managed a whopping ten points in a row and pulled away with Break.
Once again, however, the Serb showed nerves, played a catastrophic service game and had to accept the rebreak. In a playfully rarely high-class game, Djokovic in particular acted unusually error-prone. And was able to add another break after Fucsovics made some hair-raising mistakes - especially with the backhand slice. Now the Hungarian should not make a comeback, with 6: 2, 4: 6 and 6: 3 the Serb finally got his third round ticket, in the round of the last 16 the Serb is waiting for the winner in the all-French duel between Gael Monfils and Adrian Mannarino.
