ATP Miami: Normality returns in doubles

While in Indian Wells numerous single players - depending on the reading - have nursed or destroyed the double tableau, at the ATP Masters 1000 tournament in Miami it is almost the turn of the specialists again.

At least one constant: Wesley Koolhof and Neal Skupski are back in first place in Miami

No, the double draw in Miami is not completely free of individual artists either, but there are good reasons for that: After all, Hubert Hurkacz has to defend the title together with John Isner in the Hard Rock Stadium. And Tommy Paul has also arranged to meet Ben Shelton, a bit of match practice never hurts. Otherwise, however, pair skating specialists are primarily entered in the tableau of 32. At the top Wesley Koolhof and Neal Skupski, who at least made it to the final in Indian Wells.

The local champions, Rohan Bopanna and Matthew Ebden, will be tested in Miami by two-time Roland Garros champion Kevin Krawietz. Like last week, Krawietz plays in the absence of Tim Pütz with Frenchman Fabrice Martin. Andreas Mies is back as well, teaming up with Maxim Cressy to take on Lloyd Glasspool and Harri Heliovaara.

Alexander Erler and Lucas Miedler are allowed to work together again. And that against the highly decorated Colombians Jon Farrah and Juan Sebastian Cabal. The fact that Cabal/Farah are not seeded already shows that the two Austrians are certainly not without a chance in the game.
