ATP Montpellier: Erler and Miedler out at the start
Alexander Erler and Lucas Miedler failed in round one of the ATP Tour 250 tournament in Montpellier. The Austrian Davis Cup double lost against the two Dutch players Sander Arends and David Pel 6:7 (2) and 4:6.

Too bad for Alexander Erler and Lucas Miedler. Because actually the two from Rijeka and the success there against Ivan Dodig and Nikola Mektic had taken a lot of self-confidence with them to Montpellier. But then Sander Arends and David Pel proved to be too strong for the two Austrians.
After Philipp Oswald failed together with Ramkumar Ramanathan on Monday, no Austrian is represented in the doubles tableau. The single had already gone into scene without red-white-red participation.
