Matteo Berrettini has lived up to his role as a favorite at the Queen's Club in London so far.

First, several hours of continuous rain prevented playing on the grass courts of the renowned ATP World Tour 500 tournament in the Queen's Club in London. At around 4:30 p.m. (CEST), however, the game could still be started. Instead of the four planned matches on Center Court, two of the games had to be moved to the second largest court of the tennis club. First of all, the number one of the tournament Matteo Berrettini prevailed 7: 6 (5), 6: 3 against local hero Daniel Evans. After superstar Andy Murray in the round of 16, this is already the second Briton in a row to find a place on the Italian's hit list.

Alex De Minaur stayed a little longer on Court 1 with the Croatian Grand Slam champion Marin Cilic. In the end, the man from "Down Under" prevailed after 2:04 hours of play with 3: 6, 6: 3, 6: 4. The meeting of the Italian number one and the number four from Australia in the semifinals will be the first game that the two opponents play against each other.

How exactly the second semifinals will be can only be determined tomorrow. While Cameron Norrie beat the 19-year-old Jack Draper twice 6: 3 in the duel between the two hosts, the game between the number two of the tournament Denis Shapovalov and Frances Tiafoe had to be interrupted after the end of the first set due to darkness. The Canadian was able to secure passage one 6: 3. Tiafoe will open the second set with a serve tomorrow.

To the single draw in Queen's!
