The tournament in Stuttgart will go ahead as planned

Despite the postponement of the French Open by one week, the men's lawn tennis tournament in Stuttgart will remain on its original date and will therefore overlap with the second Grand Slam of the year. In the outdated calendar published by the ATP on Friday, Stuttgart was confirmed for June 7th to 13th, Roland Garros will only play from May 30th to June 13th due to the Corona situation.

Another clay court tournament in Novak Djokovic's tennis center in Belgrade and one in Parma have been added to the calendar the week before the French Open. The lawn tournament in 's-Hertogenbosch, which was supposed to take place parallel to Stuttgart, is canceled in 2021.

Stuttgart can hope for top players

Thus, according to the current status, Stuttgart occupies the only place in the 23rd calendar week and can hope for one or the other top player. In the following week, two ATP 500 tournaments will take place in London and Halle / Westphalia, and from June 21 to 26 there will be games in Mallorca and Eastbourne. On June 28th, the big lawn highlight of the season will begin in Wimbledon.

There were no other changes on the men's side. "All other events will remain as originally planned in the ATP Tour Calendar 2021," said the ATP. In the case of the women, however, there were some postponements up to the US Open .
