ATP Tel Aviv: Novak Djokovic moves into the final without losing a set

Novak Djokovic made it to the final of the ATP 250 tournament without any major problems. The 21-time Grand Slam champion prevailed in the semifinals against Roman Safiullin 6: 1 and 7: 6 (3).

Novak Djokovic has the chance to win his 89th career title in Tel Aviv on Sunday. The longtime world number one held his own in the semifinals of the ATP 250 event against Roman Safiullin 6: 1 and 7: 6 (3) and thus remained in his third match in the Israeli metropolis without losing a set.

Djokovic got off to a brilliant start, but Safiullin kept up better in the second set. Nevertheless, the Serb served at a score of 5: 4 to win the match, the world ranking 104. from Russia, however, hit back at the last moment. In the tie-break, however, Djokovic presented himself as the more stable player.

The 35-year-old will face Marin Cilic or Constant Lestienne in the final on Sunday. The two face off in the second semi-final of the day.
