ATP: The Bryans name their favorites
Bob and Mike Bryan resigned last year. The legendary twins are still closely monitoring developments on the ATP tour. Especially in doubles.

When the Bryans meet the Jensens, there can be no doubt about the outcome of this duel. And so Bob and Mike made short work of Luke and Murphy in the run-up to the Delray Beach ATP Tour 250 tournament. The 6: 1 and 6: 1 will not go down in the annals of the ATP tour: The Bryans have been retired since last summer, the Jensens have been much longer. Of course, Bob and Mike still have an eye on the ATP tour. And with it the amazing number of partner changes that happened towards the end of last year.
"When we saw teams break up, it always calmed us down," said Mike Bryan in Delray Beach. “Because we know it takes time. If you have the momentum, the entire experience of the many matches together, that helps a lot. Cabal and Farah are going to be really strong in my opinion. And Herbert and Mahut. These are the two teams who are favorites for me because of their experience. "
Soares and Murray as Grand Slam favorites
Bob finds two other teams interesting. “You always had to reckon with Bruno Soares and Jamie Murray. They finished as number one in 2016, won two slams, then split up. Now Bruno is back with Jamie. And then there is Marcelo Melo, who broke up with his long-term partner Lukasz Kubot. Melo will contest the Australian Open with Horia Tecau, the rest of the year with his long-term partner Jean-Julien Rojer. "You have Melo as the tall guy, solid on returns and volleys," says Bob Bryan. “Rojer is explosive on the net and a great athlete. They probably got together for one of the last partnerships of their careers. I expect that they can do a lot of damage this year. "
