The program will be opened at the Center Court by Diego Schwartzman and Pierre-Hugues Herbert. The two will play the first peloton match of the ATP-500 event in Vienna starting at 14:00 CET, then face the seeded US Open semi-finalists Matteo Berrettini and Kyle Edmund.

Not before 17:30 will Grigor Dimitrov, a second semifinalist of the last Grand Slam tournament of the year, play his first round match in the Austrian capital. The Bulgarian strikes Damir Dzumhur, who fought his way through qualifying eliminating top seed Alexander Bublik.
