Feliciano Lopez knows the feeling better than any other active professional tennis player: to leave the place as a loser. It all started so well in the first round of the ATP 500 tournament in Vienna. The Spaniard was ahead of Gilles Simon in the first set with Break, but lost the first round 4: 6.

Lopez, who was still at Rafael Nadal's wedding this weekend in Mallorca, did not recover - section two went to Simon 6: 3. The two-set defeat set the 38-year-old a negative record. Only Fabrice Santoro also lost 444 matches on the ATP Tour.

However, there are also 485 victories, incredible 71 Grand Slam entries in a row and seven individual tournament victories. That Lopez should soon be the sole holder of the negative record, is beyond question.
