ATP world rankings: Novak Djokovic extends leadership, Stefanos Tsitsipas overtakes Dominic Thiem

Thanks to his triumph at the French Open,Novak Djokovic extended his lead in the world rankings. Final opponent Stefanos Tsitsipas overtook Dominic Thiem and is now fourth.

Before the French Open, Novak Djokovic even threatened to lose the top position in the world rankings, but after his second victory at the Stade Roland Garros, the lead in the ATP ranking now seems more cemented than seldom before. The Serb is 1970 points ahead of his first rival Daniil Medvedev, another 1513 points behind is Rafael Nadal.

Fourth place is now the French Open finalist Stefanos Tsitsipas, who overtook Dominic Thiem and can look forward to a new personal record. The top ten are completed by Alexander Zverev, Andrey Rublev, Roger Federer, Matteo Berrettini and Roberto Bautista Agut.

Djokovic takes the lead in the Race to Turin

In addition to Tsitsipas, eight other players in the top 100 were able to celebrate a new career high: Casper Ruud (15th), Aslan Karatsev (24th), Dan Evans (25th), Lorenzo Sonego (26th), Alejandro Davidovich Fokina (35th) .), Tommy Paul (50th), Lorenzo Musetti (61st) and Carlos Alcaraz (78th) all recorded career highs.

In the Race to Turin Djokovic took over the lead from Tsitsipas. In third and fourth place are Zverev and Nadal, who both made up ground. In addition, Rublev, Medvedev, Berrettini and Karatsev should also take part in the year-end finals of the eight best players
