Billie Jean King Cup: 1-1 - Austria equalizes against Latvia on day one
The ÖTV team drew 1-1 against Latvia in the play-offs of the Billie Jean King Cup in Schwechat on day one.

The spectators in the Schwechat Multiversum were able to witness two great performances by the Austrian women in the Billie Jean King Cup Playoffs against Latvia. First, Tamira Paszek narrowly missed a surprise against Jelena Ostapenko at 6:3, 2:6 and 6:7 (9), then Sinja Kraus scored a clear 6:3, 6:1 win against Daniela Vismane the deserved compensation.
Tomorrow on the second day of the game Kraus will play against Ostapenko and Paszek against Vismane. If the international match has not yet been decided at this point, the duos Melanie Klaffner / Sinja Kraus and Diana Marcinkevica / Beatrise Zeltina would duel for victory.
