Sam Stosur and Storm Sanders scored the winning point against Great Britain in doubles

In the semi-finals of the Billie Jean King Cup Finals, Great Britain were beaten by a very narrow margin 2-1 at home to Australia. The women from "down under", on the other hand, are in the final of the team competition and will play against either the Czech Republic or Switzerland for the title tomorrow.

At the beginning Storm Sanders prevailed 6:4, 7:6 (3) against Heather Watson, then Harriet Dart equalized with a 7:6(3), 6:2 win over Alja Tomljanovic to a 1:1 draw out.

In the deciding doubles, Sanders was joined by Australian legend Sam Stosur. In a nerve-racking game against the pairing of Alicia Barnett and Olivia Nicholls, the Australians took the decisive point after 1:32 hours with 7: 6 (1), 6: 7 (5) and 10: 6 in the champions tie-break.

This is Australia's unbelievable 19th time in the final of the Billie Jean King Cup.

Here is an overview of the Tie from Glasgow.
