“We are very happy that we finally have a home game against Brazil again after a long time. Playing in front of home fans to get into the finals is a great opportunity for the whole team,” says Billie Jean King Cup captain Rainer Schüttler. Germany and Brazil have met four times in the Billie Jean King Cup (formerly Fed Cup), most recently the German team won 4-0 in Florianópolis in 2020.

The exact venue and the floor covering have not yet been determined. What is certain, however, is that the winners of this encounter will be allowed to travel to the Billie Jean King Cup finals, which will take place again in November next year. Again, no venue has been set yet.

As this year's finalists, Switzerland and Australia have already been confirmed as participants for the 2023 Billie Jean King Cup Finals, in which a total of 12 teams will compete for the title. In addition, there are the nine winning teams of the qualifying round. Last place in the finals goes to the host of the finals tournament. If the host has already qualified, a wild card will be given to another team.

Porsche Team Germany qualified for the Billie Jean King Cup Qualifiers with a 3-1 win over Croatia.
