Billie Jean King Cup: The Czech Republic was the last team in the semi-finals after beating the USA
Marketa Vondrousova and Katerina Siniakova led the Czech team to the Billie Jean King Cup semifinals.

The Czech Republic reached the semi-finals of the Billie Jean King Cup on Friday evening as the fourth and last team. Marketa Vondrousova and Katerina Siniakova made things clear after the two singles against the USA and fixed the semi-final duel with Switzerland, who had already fixed promotion in the afternoon.
Vondrousova got the first point for the Czech Republic. The left-hander surprisingly beat Danielle Collins 6: 3 and 6: 3, then Siniakova fixed the semi-finals with a 7: 6 (1) and 6: 1 win over Cori Gauff.
In addition to the Czech Republic and Switzerland, Great Britain and Australia will meet in Glasgow on Saturday. Both teams had already qualified for the round of four on Thursday.
