BJK-Cup: The finals of the team competition take place in Seville

The Billie Jean King Cup finals will be held in Seville in 2023. This was announced by the world tennis association ITF on Wednesday. The most important tournament for national teams in women's tennis takes place from November 7th to 12th.
Captain Rainer Schüttler's German team qualified for the final round in April with a 3-1 win over Brazil. Austria's women, on the other hand, lost 4-0 to the overwhelming favorite USA. A total of twelve teams will start. A wildcard was awarded to Poland for world number one Iga Swiatek, the defending champion is Switzerland.
This year, the competition, named after tennis legend Billie Jean King, celebrates its 60th anniversary and returns to Spain for the final round for the first time since 2008. Seville will also be the venue for the finals for the next two years.
