"Sascha Zverev had to fight very hard to find his form this season. Especially on sand, actually his strongest surface, he played - to put it mildly - under all sow. I can say that," said the three-time Wimbledon winner and Eurosport -Expert about Germany's best tennis player.

Because Zverev won his eleventh tournament in Geneva on Saturday, Becker put his criticism into perspective immediately. "He's taking shape, right now last week in Geneva," said the six-time Grand Slam winner. The Zverev draw in Paris was also "not too bad". He spoke to "his coaching team and everyone is actually in good spirits. I think Zverev can go a long way."

Zverev enters the French Open against John Millman (Australia) on Tuesday. In Geneva he had reached his second final this year after a bad clay court season, in which he had only managed to get past his second match once with six tournaments. The first had been lost to Nick Kyrgios (Australia) in Acapulco at the beginning of March, the fifth in the world rankings.
