Daniil Medvedev has resumed training. The 25-year-old posted a video on Tuesday showing his first punches. He trained on a hard court at Mouratoglou Academy in France. Medvedev, who was world number one for three weeks earlier this year, underwent surgery for a hernia after the Miami Open in early April. As a result of this operation, he had to withdraw from the first clay court tournaments - and he will not be able to start at the Masters in Madrid or the Masters in Rome.

Will Medvedev play in Paris?

Medvedev is currently on the entry list for Roland Garros, but it remains to be seen whether the Russian will play the clay court Grand Slam without prior endurance tests. And due to the current events, the lawn season also looks very uncertain. Those responsible for Wimbledon recently underpinned the decision that players from Russia and Belarus were not allowed to start at the most traditional tennis tournament.
