Daniil Medvedev wins Diriyah Tennis Cup
Daniil Medvedev won the tournament at the first Diriyah Tennis Cup. The Russian won 6-2, 6-2 in the final on Saturday against Fabio Fognini and did not play a single set throughout the tournament - even though he was bothered by a minor injury.

With this, the Russian gets a winner's check for one million US dollars. Previously, he had saved Jan-Lennard Struff with 6: 3, 6: 1 and David Goffin with 6: 3, 6: 3. Fognini can look forward to over $ 500,000 after his victories over John Isner and Gael Monfils.
"After the match, I heard that Fabio was a little sick. I felt it a little during the match," said Medvedev. "I still wanted to do my game and keep people entertained, even if I'm not the best entertainer on the tour."
After the tournament, however, the Russians suffered slight pain in the hip. He therefore canceled his start at the exhibition in Abu Dhabi. In France, he wants to be examined by the doctor he trusted to plan the rest of the preparation for the new season.
Jan-Lennard Struff narrowly loses to John Isner
Struff defeated Michael Mmoh in two sets on Friday, making him the final of the consolidation round. There he lost to Isner on Saturday afternoon after the match ball was awarded 6: 4, 5: 7, 11-13.
"I've never won against John. I was close, but he served too well," Stuff told tennisnet after the game. "I played very well in the first set."
Struff will travel home on Sunday to prepare for the season opener. "I go into the hall again. That shouldn't be a problem, now I've been outside long enough. And maybe there will be another nice day. I play outside at ten degrees and sun," he said. He is pursuing a specific goal for his ranking in 2020. "But I don't communicate that to the outside world," he said with a grin.
