Bitter defeat for Alexander Erler and Lucas Miedler: The two Austrians were clearly beaten 3:6 and 3:6 by the South Korean duo Ji Sung Nam and Min-Kyu Song in the Davis Cup duel in Seoul.
Erler/Miedler had no chance against Nam/Song for long stretches of the game and didn't manage a break throughout the match. The two South Koreans, on the other hand, managed to take the serve from the Austrians three times and converted their third match point to a 6:3 and 6:3 success after 74 minutes.
Thus, Austria is 1:2 behind in the international match. Dennis Novak is doomed to win in the singles against Soon-woo Kwon if Jürgen Melzer's team wants to keep the chance of the Davis Cup group stage.
