24 teams are in the qualifying round for the Davis Cup Finals, the 12 matches will take place on March 4th and 5th, 2022.
The draw brought an away game for the German team - in Brazil.
Can you hope for Alexander Zverev? Will show up. The date is feasible, especially for an away trip, especially since the Masters tournament in Indian Wells is coming up from March 9th to 20th. And before that, the South America tour.
How strong are Germany’s opponents Brazil?
Austria's opponent South Korea has with Soonwoo Kwon (ATP No. 53) only one player among the top 100 players in the singles, followed by Duckhee Lee (ATP-372). Even in doubles, the situation is manageable.
Wildcards for Serbia and Great Britain
The two wildcards for the final tournament next autumn went to this year's semi-finalists Serbia and Great Britain. The finalists in 2021, Russia and Croatia, are also directly qualified for the final.
The final tournament in 2022 will then take place with 16 teams.
