Davis Cup: a tailor-made start! Dennis Novak doesn't give Ji Sung Nam a chance
Dennis Novak put Austria in front in the Davis Cup duel with South Korea with a strong performance 1-0. The Lower Austrian didn't give Ji Sung Nam a chance with 6:1 and 6:4.

Made-to-measure start for Austria in the Davis Cup duel with South Korea! The country's number two behind Dominic Thiem, Dennis Novak, did not show any weaknesses in his opening duel with Ji Sung Nam and made it 1-0 6: 1 and 6: 4. Novak became his favorite role against world number-462. in Seoul's Olympic Park.
In the first round, Sung Nam only managed to win the game to make it 1-1, before Novak won the set 6-1 in a row with five wins in a row. The South Korean was able to improve significantly in the second set, but in the end an early break should be enough for Novak to secure a two-set success. After almost exactly an hour, the Lower Austrian served safely.
The second individual in the Davis Cup duel between Austria and South Korea is now contested by Jurij Rodionov against the clearly favored Soon-woo Kwon.
