Davis Cup: Australia and Canada win in the evening session

Australia and Canada have already sealed their victories on the second day of the Davis Cup final tournament in Madrid.

The Australian Davis Cup selection around team captain Lleyton Hewitt has started well in the tournament of Madrid. Against Colombia Nick Kyrgios and Alex de Mianur at least in the individual had no problems at all.

First Kyrgios Alejandro Gonzalez defeated clear 6: 4 and 6: 4, a little later put de Minaur with a 6: 4 and 6: 3 victory against Daniel Galan. In the doubles, John Peers and Jordan Thompson will challenge the two world number one Rangers Juan Sebastian Cabal and Robert Farah. This duel could be even more important in the battle for promotion to Group D, where Belgium celebrated a 2-1 win over Colombia at the start.

Canada is already fix in the quarterfinals. After the 2-1 victory against Italy, the Canadians laid with two individual victories against the United States. At the start Vasek Pospisil defeated Reilly Opelka in two tiebreak sets, then Denis Shapovalov beat Taylor Fritz 7: 6 (6) and 6: 3. In the doubles, Sam Querrey / Jack Sock duel with Felix Auger-Aliassime / Denis Shapovalov.
