Who can remember: A year ago, the Austrians had to travel to South Korea in order to make it into the second round of the Davis Cup against the hosts. As is well known, this excursion went unrewarded, the South Koreans won quite easily. After the first two singles on Saturday things looked much better for Belgium. David Goffin and Co. led 2-0.

On the second day, however, came the big slump. At first, Sander Gille and Joran Vliegen failed to close the sack. The Belgian doubles experts were defeated by Ji-Sung Nam and Min-Kyu Song 6:7 (3) and 6:7 (5). And because Goffin lost to Soonwo Kwon and then Zizou Bergs to Seong-Chan Hong, South Korea still won 3-2.

The Dutch did a better job there: Wesley Koolhof and Matwe Middelkoop didn't give a damn about the Slovakian couple Alex Molcan and Lukas Klein, winning 6:3 and 6:3.

On the night of Saturday, the British had already secured progress in Colombia with a 3-1 win by Cameron Norrie against Nicolas Mejia.
