The 2023 Davis Cup champion has been crowned, and the associations are now turning their attention to the coming year. And Germany has to go to Hungary at the beginning of February. Not to Budapest, however, but to Tatabanya. The game will take place there on February 2nd and 3rd, 2024 in a multifunctional hall that can accommodate up to 6,500 spectators.

If the Hungarians play in the best line-up, then the task can be really demanding for Michael Kohlmann's team. With Marton Fucsovics and Fabian Marozsan, the Hungarians have two players who can keep up with almost all their opponents on a good day. Marozsan, for example, won against Carlos Alcaraz in Rome this season. Fucsovics, however, has repeatedly had arguments with the Hungarian association in recent years. It remains to be seen whether he will actually compete against Germany.

For the DTB team, after the botched start of 2023 against Switzerland and securing their place in the first group of the Davis Cup with the victory in Bosnia-Herzegovina, it is now about getting back into the intermediate round in September and then into the final tournament Málaga to qualify. With the best line-up with Alexander Zverev, the recovered Jan-Lennard Struff and a strong doubles team including Tim Pütz, Kevin Krawietz and Andreas Mies, this should definitely be possible.
