The Davis Cup finals will take place under stricter climate protection conditions in the future. The organizer Kosmos Tennis, who organizes the tournament together with the world association ITF, joined the United Nations' climate change initiative "Sports for Climate Action Framework".

The aim of this framework is for the entire sports sector to adhere to the goals of the Paris Climate Agreement, in particular the net zero emissions economy by 2050 described therein.

Education for climate protection

The initiative aims to bring sports organizations, communities, event organizers and broadcasters together in the fight against climate change. The principles are summarized in five principles. These should also be taken into account in the organization and implementation of the Davis Cup finals in the future.

The principles include, among other things, education for climate protection and the promotion of sustainable and responsible consumption.
