In 2019, Tomas Berdych finally hung up his racket and at least saved himself the last two corona seasons on the ATP tour. As an interested observer of international tennis events, the Wimbledon finalist from 2010 is still back in the public eye. The 36-year-old's idea isn't entirely new now, but it could rekindle a meaningful discussion about the future of the Davis Cup. Berdych adds: “It would be enough to fix it for the end of September or the beginning of December. That would encourage the best players to play the Davis Cup again. I think it would be a lot more special than what we have now. "
