Still has a lot of work to do: Dominic Thiem

Dominic Thiem remains in a positive mood, although he does not want to achieve the first win after the comeback. On Monday he suffered his fourth loss in a row, losing to Andy Murray in the first round. It's been a month since Thiem made his long-awaited comeback. However, Thiem will continue to work hard.

"We know exactly what needs to be improved"

Thiem wrote on Twitter: "I had a few very successful and, above all, instructive days in Madrid. The training, the atmosphere and the people were awesome. Of course I wanted to win this match, but I still lack the consistency that I can bring back with a lot of work! My team and I know exactly what needs improvement and we will work on it every day.”

“I will keep working and training to achieve my goals. I am and will remain optimistic. I approach every training session and every game in such a way that I can always learn from my mistakes so that I can go one step further every day. I'm over the moon to be able to step out on the pitch every day without pain or worry and to be able to do what I love. Thank you for your messages and comments. I appreciate each and every one of you!"

Thiem will be back in action in Rome next week.
