For the third time in their joint career, Lukasz Kubot and Marcelo Melo were able to win the double title in the Wiener Stadthalle. The duo had already had to fight hard in the semi-finals, but finally prevailed in the championship break of the third set.
Now in the final it should be a tough fight again, but Kubot / Melo showed strong nerves against the two Britons Jamie Murray and Neal Skupski. The two of them secured the first set 7: 5 in the tie-break, in the second round the Brazilian-Polish duo managed the break to 7: 5, which was equivalent to winning the match.
