Eurosport podcast: Becker asks Zverev about the distance to Djokovic

After a great tennis year that ended with the award for Sportsman of the Year, Alexander Zverev is now available to answer questions from tennis legend Boris Becker. Based on the current format of the Davis Cup, Zverev is still critical: “I always like to play for Germany, but the Davis Cup is simply tennis history for me. Something that has been played for over 130 years - with home advantage with away games and so on. It was always a very special atmosphere and I just don't think that the Davis Cup should be played in one country within a week. (...) The date is also difficult. For someone who wants to go very high, this is a disaster, because we only have 10 days before we fly to Australia. "
Becker: "Are you playing better now or is Novak a little slower?"
Based on Zverev's recent very good results, Becker is asking whether Zverev simply plays better or whether Djokovic has become a little slower. The 25-year-old is self-confident: “I think I've improved my game a lot over the last year. And I don't only see that when I play against Novak - I also see that when I play against people who are 20 or 30 in the world. I used to have problems with them. Nowadays maybe a little less often. ”Zverev's second serve in particular improved in terms of play.
