Kristina Mladenovic has silenced Perth

Kristina Mladenovic initially missed the words after her epic victory over Ashleigh Barty in the final of the Fed Cup in Perth. Todd Woodbridge had asked the Frenchwoman after their 2: 6, 6: 4 and 7: 6 (1) to thank the French fans in their native language. Mladenovic struggled for composure - and finally made it. After a match that went back and forth in the third set, in which Barty was twice behind with a break. Kristina Mladenovic but could not close the bag initially, lost their service game at 5: 4 to zero. In the tiebreak but the girlfriend of Dominic Thiem no doubt arise. And destroyed the "Barty Party" in front of nearly 14,000 fans in the arena of Perth.

Now it's up to Pauline Parmentier to get the title to France. Parmentier was preferred by captain Julien Benneteau to Caroline Garcia, who lost to Barty on Saturday. If the Australians equalize, then Mladenovic must probably once again ran in the doubles. And that's not bad news for France - she won the WTA Finals title together with Timea Babos last Sunday in Shenzhen.
