First, Antonitsch surprisingly got the first set, had two chances for the rebreak to 4: 5 after an early deficit in the round. After that, however, the game went towards the Italian favorite as expected. After 97 minutes, Giorgi converted her first match ball to a final score of 4: 6, 6: 3 and 6: 0, giving Italy a 1-0 lead.

Günter Bresnik, who has been taking care of sporting matters at Antonitsch for almost a year, was impressed with tennisnet regardless of the result in Tallinn. "It is a huge experience for Mira to play against Giorgi," said the star coach. "The development of Mira is great, her attitude is exemplary." In addition, the 21-year-old has two strokes with the first serve and her forehand, which can cause problems for most women. Which, however, has not quite reached Bresnik's protégé.

"Mira is much better than she thinks," Bresnik said. How good was Camila Giorgi in the first set of the Fed Cup tournament in Riga. For Günter Bresnik, the goal of the trip together with Mira Antonitsch is far from being achieved: "If she stays healthy, Mira can be among the top 100 in the world."

Austria's number one Julia Grabher plays Jasmine Paolini in the second single. In addition to Austria, Greece (without top woman Maria Sakkari) and Estonia (with Anett Kontaveit) also play in Group B in Tallinn.
